Our winemakers first craft beautifully rich red wines matured in traditional wine barrels. Then using our unique double barrel technique, the wine is finished in aged whisky barrels to build additional layers of complexity and an incredibly smooth finish. Double barrel cabernet sauvignon has aromas of vanilla, nuts and varietal cassis with ground spice and leafy notes.

A blend built primarily of clone 777, hand plunged daily before maturing in seasoned French oak barriques for eight months and undergoing malolactic conversion for a silky finish.

Leefield Station is a range of wines that celebrate the history of the iconic sheep and beef station located in the heart of the Waihopai Valley. Purchased in 2013 by Marisco Vineyards, the property inspired us to go back to the beginning with our winemaking approach.
